| BOARD, STAFF
AND CLAN LEADRS |
Each Hmong clan has a
representative to serve on the Board of Directors. The
President is also the Chairman of the Board. His
executive team consists of the Vice President,
Secretary, Treasurer, and Chairman Emeritus. These
officers also serve as members of the Board of Directors
at large to represent all members who do not have direct
representation on the Board of Directors. The President
is elected by members of the Association and Hmong clan
representatives. Each member of the Board of Directors
is nominated by the members of each Hmong clan leaders.
There are currently twelve active clans on UHA. These
are the Cha or Chang, Hang, Her, Khang, Lee, Lo, Moua,
Thao, Vang, Vue, Xiong, and Yang. The Chue, Kong and Kue
only have a few families and do not nominate
representatives to serve on our Board of Directors.
Therefore, these clans are represented by the Directors
at large. The Board positions for the Lo and Moua clans
are currently vacant. The Board of Directors makes
policy decisions for the Association. The Executive
Director and staff carry out action plans to implement
those policies. Current members of the Board of
Directors are as follow:
- Youa Bee Vang---- President/Chair
- Vang Lee----Vice President/Chair
